Meet Dr. Sanjay N. Rao
Dr. Sanjay N. Rao is the Medical Director of Lakeside Eye Clinic and is a leading cataract and LASIK surgeon. He is the former Director of Cornea and Refractive Surgery at the University of Chicago and is a nationally respected corneal specialist. Dr. Rao is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in LASIK surgery, small-incision cataract surgery, refractive lens exchange, corneal transplantation, as well as Intacs® implantation for keratoconus. He also specializes in the management of dry eye and corneal infections. Additionally, Dr. Rao offers BOTOX® Cosmetic and Restylane® treatments. He is active member of many professional societies and he has published numerous articles and book chapters in the areas of dry eye, herpetic disease, and cataract and refractive surgery. Dr. Rao heads the Research Division at Lakeside Eye Clinic which focuses on new refractive technologies, dry eye treatments, novel pharmaceuticals, and ocular pharmaceutical delivery systems.
